An Ethiopian Trailblazer on Two Wheels 🇪🇹 🇬🇧

A young Ethiopian student in the UK is making headlines for his extraordinary determination and creativity. Kidus Tesera, 24, is cycling 780 miles across Britain on a bicycle he built almost entirely from recycled parts and wood.

Currently studying at Imperial College London, Kidus first discovered his passion for bike-building while repairing a secondhand bicycle at the university’s workshop. Inspired by the process, he went a step further—designing and crafting his own eco-friendly bike from discarded materials.

Now, his remarkable journey is not just a test of endurance, but also a statement about sustainability, innovation, and the resourceful spirit of Ethiopian youth abroad.

Kidus’ story is a powerful reminder: with creativity and determination, nothing is impossible—whether on the streets of Addis Ababa or the roads of the United Kingdom.

👏 What a story!

Kidus Tesera is not just riding a bike—he is riding a dream built by his own hands. An Ethiopian son proving, once again, that creativity and determination can carry us across any distance.

From recycled parts and wood, he shaped a machine. From courage and vision, he shaped a journey. 780 miles ( 1,255 KM) across the UK is more than a cycling adventure—it is a lesson to all of us: when we use what we have, we can go further than we ever imagined.

Kidus, you inspire Ethiopia, you inspire Africa, and you inspire the world. Keep pedaling forward—your story is fuel for the next generation of dreamers and doers. 🚴‍♂️✨
